This piece is cross-posted on my AO3 account. It's a Kuroko no Basuke (Kuroko's Basketball aka. KnB) fanfic. Anime screenshots found via Google search. Word Count: 2,322 Summary: A year after graduating from Kaijo High, and passing captain-ship of the basketball team over to Hayakawa, Kasamatsu was finally settling in to his college years. Notes: I don't even like basketball but the anime was cute and the guys were all super hot, so I didn't really fight going down that rabbit hole. I was informed of a Fan Fiction Day and very nearly missed the deadline of where I originally posted this piece (inside a writing guild). I floundered around trying to figure out what to do within this fandom. I eventually landed on working with my favorite of the secondary characters (who is not pitched as a baddie), Yukio Kasamatsu. He is by default, an angst-ridden character. He can't help it, that's his personality. I tried to give him some romantic fluff which really doesn't show up until the very end of the piece. I am not good at fluff and I'm even worse with romantic anything. It is awkward because I am awkward. I tried to keep him as close to in-character as I could muster, but I am completely new to this fandom and still relatively new to fan fiction in general. This piece has been proofread by myself, repeatedly. In the case of full names, I go with the western tradition of first name being first. And the university is completely made up by me (as far as I am aware).

Along with him on this journey is his trusted junior and close friend, Captain Choi Yeonjun. Gunfights, assassination attempts and a dash of romance with fluttering hearts and mushy feelings. This mission is going to be everything Yeonjun and Jungkook had prepared for, and everything they have not prepared for.
