THE AMBY AWARDS 2022 WINNER (Best Series) Book One (Book Three of the trilogy is on the WATTYS 2022 SHORTLIST) Wattpad featured story. The Adept Pen 21 finalist. Samara, a young woman from London, visits Bran Castle in Romania during a Halloween night. Somehow, she's always felt drawn to the story of Vlad the Impaler, the historical character who allegedly inspired the writer, Bram Stoker, to write his Count Dracula. Annoyed by her noisy friends, she strolls behind her group when they enter the castle and thus gets approached by their tall dark and handsome guide. Samara can't fight the attraction she feels for him, even after he claims to be Vlad Dracul himself, obviously making fun of her...or? At the end of the tour, unable to resist her curiosity, she follows the guide through a dark corridor and time travels to another time, a late medieval world populated by very unusual vampires, where she had once belonged. The mysterious guide turns out to be her husband, none less than Vlad III, the Prince of Wallachia, the Impaler... Dracula. Samara's memories start to trickle back slowly, both good and bad. The man she loves so much that she feels overcome by her feelings for him is not exactly as he was when she left him before, when she... died. A lot of things have changed in her absence, in six hundred years. But she is changed too, having grown up in the 21st century this time around, she is not quite the same girl as when she lived in Vlad's castle, in the late medievals. Will the great love they feel for each other despite their long separation be strong enough to overcome all their differences? Will Samara and Vlad accept each other as they are now and fight for their love? Will they defend it in the dangerous world they live in, full of people, or better vampires, who would rather see them apart? In this place where nothing and no one is what they really seem to be at first sight? Cover: @WakeWriteWrath

On April 24, 2004, an impossible archway opened on the South Lawn of the White House. What followed wasn't a clean invasion or a neat first contact; it was chaos, confusion, and a brutal fight for survival as soldiers faced enemies that shouldn't exist and weapons that didn't obey familiar rules. Staff Sergeant Michael Alvarez, a D.C. National Guard MP, survives Day Zero by performing his trained duty: maintaining the line. But when the smoke clears, the gate doesn't close, and the world doesn't get answers. As the U.S. government locks down the truth and builds a permanent foothold around the anomaly, something becomes clear: the Gate is not a temporary crisis. It's a new geographic fact of reality, linking Earth to a ruined capital in another world that fears the Gate as much as humanity does. No heroes. No prophecy. No effortless victories. The White House Event is a grounded, military-focused first-contact story about uncertainty, institutional pressure, and what happens when humanity realizes that the unknown and themselves are permanent. The year is 1935. It was an era when numerous giant luxury liners fiercely competed across the Atlantic. Yet, even in East Asia, a region that should have been left behind in this dinosaur-like evolution, an ambitious passenger ship construction plan began, spurred by a whim of Puyi, the Emperor of Manchukuo! A plan that any sane person would have rejected immediately, it somehow managed to secure powerful support from various related parties in Japan and, before anyone knew it, had become an established fact. The unprecedented large cargo-passenger ship Wenshu, designed to carry the super Asia Express departing from Xinjing and, one day, transport guests via Moji to Tokyo. She was meant to be the face of Manchukuo at the Tokyo Olympic Games, a vessel whose prestige would be demonstrated through grand-scale operation... though this rarely happened. Due to the worsening external situation, she was ultimately recommissioned as a warship of the Imperial Navy. An innovative new warship, combining aircraft operational capability with the functions of a landing ship. That is the converted aircraft carrier Ten'yō! RELEASE: 2021 (TL INCOMPLETE)

[ONGOING STORY] A nation can imprison a man, but not an idea. Set against the backdrop of a futuristic society ruled by the iron fist of an ultranationalist-fascist regime, a group of masked individuals are drawn together by circumstance and tragedy. Hidden behind their identities and haunted by their pasts, they become unwilling witnesses to a nation unraveling beneath tyranny, corruption, fear, oppression, decadence, and silence. As unrest spreads and the regime's grip begins to crack, they find themselves caught between obedience and resistance, survival and conviction. Bound by loss, disillusionment, and a shared longing for change, they must navigate a world where truth is suppressed, dissent is punished, and hope itself is treated as a threat. But beyond every mask lies a truth waiting to be uncovered, and some truths are powerful enough to awaken the people. A novel in memory of a long-forgotten revolution. DISCLAIMER: All elements in the story are fictional, and any real-life parallels are purely coincidental and unintentional. [Written in Taglish]

After death, the greatest minds in early American history awaken in a place they cannot understand-a vast, silent observation chamber known only as The Glass Room. From here, they can see the living world. But the living world cannot see them. No voices cross the divide. No warnings can be given. No intervention is possible. They are forced into eternal observation-watching centuries unfold through one-way panes of glass, like prisoners behind a mirror in an interrogation room where history is both suspect and evidence. What they witness is not the nation they once knew-but something that grew far beyond their design. A modern world of overwhelming scale, fractured trust, accelerating information, and constant political tension. Every decision echoes outward. Every consequence compounds. Every assumption they once held is tested against outcomes they never could have foreseen. At first, they try to understand it. Then they begin to argue. Was the system flawed from the start-or corrupted over time? Is instability the price of freedom, or the sign of collapse? And if a republic survives but no longer resembles its creators' intent... does it still mean success? As the Founding Fathers fracture into competing interpretations of their own legacy, the Glass Room becomes more than an afterlife. It becomes an endless debate between philosophy and reality. Between intention and consequence. Between what a nation was built to be-and what it became without permission. A political psychological thriller about power, time, and irreversible history, The Glass Room asks one haunting question: What happens when the architects of a system can only watch it evolve... and realize they no longer agree on what they built?

Julian Cross has spent his life teaching that history is never truly dead. Then a letter from Korea proves it. After inheriting the mysterious Han Pavilion Estate, Julian is pulled into a family curse his mother spent her life running from. Records change. Photographs move. A red thread appears where it should not exist. And somewhere beyond the locked doors of the pavilion, a man from the past keeps calling Julian by a name he barely remembers. Han Jiwon. When Julian slips into an alternate past, he meets Baek Tae-oh, a dangerous and feared gangster leader whose life is tied to the curse in ways neither of them understand. Tae-oh is ruthless, guarded, and impossible to trust. But he is also the one person who keeps saving Julian when the red thread tries to claim him. As Julian uncovers the truth behind his family's erased history, the curse begins to tighten. The past bleeds into the present. The dead refuse to stay silent. And every step closer to Tae-oh makes the Red Thread more dangerous. Because this is not a love story fate wants to bless. It is one fate wants to use. To break the curse, Julian must uncover what his family buried, face the door that has been feeding on grief for generations, and decide whether love is worth crossing time for. But the Red Thread does not give without taking. And if Julian chooses Tae-oh, both the past and future may change forever. A dark, emotional, Korean-drama-inspired BL time-slip fantasy romance about family secrets, cursed fate, dangerous love, and the choice to rewrite what was never meant to be survived. Author's Note A Step in Time is a slow-burn BL fantasy romance with time-slip mystery. The historical setting is an alternate timeline inspired by Korean drama and fantasy. It is not meant to be strict real-world history. AI-Assisted Disclosure: This story was written with AI assistance. The St. James family survives on beauty, privilege, and scandal. This season, blood runs closer to the heart. Clara Ellery has always known how to play the game-smile when expected, charm when useful, and never let society think it understands her too well. Then there is Bolton St. James. A man who does not merely enter a room-he takes it. Dangerously magnetic, infuriatingly self-assured, and exactly the sort of man Clara should avoid. Naturally, she flirts with him instead. But attraction is the easiest part of scandal. Because old wounds do not stay buried. Some women are not easily forgotten. And in Valerique, love is rarely just love. It is leverage. Temptation. War. And some hearts are destined to break in scarlet.

Two summers. Two choices. One love that outlasted an empire. The Long Summer For nearly fifty years, Grand Duke Alexander Alexandrovich carried the memory of a single midsummer evening. In June 1891, at Fredensborg Palace in Denmark, a young Romanov prince met a princess with ribbons in her hair, a flower garland in her curls, and laughter bright enough to capture his attention despite every effort to avoid it. While Europe's royal families gathered to celebrate Princess Elena's eighteenth birthday, neither of them could have imagined the path that lay ahead. Their story would span the final decades of Imperial Russia, the glittering world of Europe's royal courts, the heartbreak of revolution, and the loss of everything they had once called home. When the Romanov dynasty falls, Alexander faces a choice between loyalty to an empire and loyalty to the people he loves. Choosing his wife and children, he leads his family into exile, carrying with him little more than memories, hope, and the woman who had become the center of his world. From the lantern-lit gardens of Fredensborg to the quiet halls of an English country estate, The Long Summer follows one family across half a century of triumph, tragedy, and change. At its heart is a love story-not of crowns or power, but of endurance. A story of grandchildren gathered around a library fire. Of a husband who never forgot the sound of his wife's laughter. And of a midsummer evening that lasted a lifetime.

GENESIS OF SYMMETRY: THE CENTURY WITHOUT CRACKS "Symmetry is an offense to life. I offer you sacred chaos." The Hook: What if the 20th century never broke? In 1914, the bullet that was meant to start World War I never found its mark. The Great War remained a dusty hypothesis. While our world crumbled into a mosaic of rubble and revolution, this Germany stayed intact-a Swiss watch protected by a glass bell. A world of silent, geometric, and relentless Growth. The Setting: Berlin, 1989. The Wall isn't falling. As the human tide presses against the concrete of Checkpoint Charlie, the shadows of Soviet T-80 tanks emerge. It isn't an act of war; it is a ritual of "Surgical Separation." In this world, the East didn't collapse-it became the world's beacon of Absolute Symmetry, powered by the artificial sun of Chernobyl. The Story: Wolfgang Waldmann is a child of order, the son of the legal architect of the Wall. But Wolfgang is haunted by "The Interference"-a high-pitched frequency that pierces the silence of his opulent life. Through it, he glimpses a terrifying alternate reality: a 1933 where books burn, squares scream with hatred, and the world smells of gasoline and ash. As Wolfgang grows from a silent observer into the future Prime Minister of a digital empire, he must grapple with a chilling truth: The Wall wasn't built to protect them from the West, but to seal reality itself against the ghost of a world that died so theirs could remain perfect. Themes: Alternate History (Uchronia): A reimagined 20th century where order is the ultimate religion. Dark Psychology: The trauma of a boy who can hear the "white noise" of murdered history. The Price of Stability: What are we willing to sacrifice for a world without cracks? #AlternateHistory #Dystopian #PsychologicalThriller #ColdWar #BerlinWall #DarkPsychology #WhatIf #SciFi #HistoricalFiction #Symmetry

Disclaimer: This story is based on an Europa Universalis IV alternate history mod: Ante Bellum, this story specifically covers a timeline where the Umayyad Caliphate of Cordoba survives the attempted reconquista of the Christians led by Francia, colonized the new world, spread Islam throughout the globe, and made it through the centuries becoming a modernized Islamic state. (Credit to Parmelion for the Ante Bellum mod) After trials and tribulations, wars fought and rebellions quelled, only for another to come. Al-Andalus is truly a unique state, built by a disgraced dinasty after facing a rebellion, losing the title of "Khalifah" to said rebellion, and fled the chaos to a fringe region where most of it's inhabitants don't even speak Arabic or practice Islam. Al-Andalus has became a place where Christians, Muslims and Jews live side by side, such tolerance was never heard of in that time period. Granted, toleration can only go so far when you're surrounded by hostile neighbors. But by some miracle, Al-Andalus prevails. With the discovery of the Americas, the Andalusians were presented with an opportunity. After the Nizzarid pretender of Egypt cut of routes from India, the Andalusians could make up for the lost trade for an oceanic Empire, and use that funding to find alternative route to India. This empire building slowly snowballing Andalusia to become the world's naval hegemon, with territories covering from Kalifurniya to Malaya. Reforms and previously flawed system of equality were rectified, religious converts at an all time high, economy is booming. But alas, just like any colonial empire. It has to come to an end eventually, the Neo-Kharijites faning the flames of revolution across the Caliphate, most breakaway peacefully, others by force. And thus, the Andalusian golden age come to an end. But in year 1976, whilst the nation faces economic stagnation, A GATE has appeared in the city of Ishbiliya, and the Caliphate finds an opportunity.
