Alvin and Brittany have been married for five years, but the last four have been less than happy. As a member of the Los Angeles Police Department, Alvin spends most of his time away from Brittany and their young daughter, Claire. As such, Brittany has grown bitter with his job, feeling it's taken the place of her and their little girl. This results in the couple getting in frequent arguments. However, neither Alvin nor Brittany realize there is a much bigger problem, until one day they are called to their daughter's school, where they receive a rather harsh snap back to reality.
