In this story it is the everyday life of the chipmunks. And Alvin is with Brittany, Simon is with Jeanette and Theodore is with Eleanor.

In the twilight of their careers, and desperate to extend them however possible, the Chipmunks and Chipettes reluctantly agree to a deal with NASA to man a mission to the planet Mars. What they hope for is an increase in popularity; a reason for people to cheer for them again. There is no way for any of them to predict the complications, lies, secrets, and threats that they will encounter before they can safely return home. In order to find themselves on the other side of this ordeal with their lives, they will need to tap into every ounce of brains, brawn, and hope that they can conjure. "Wanting to cry, wanting all of this to just be over, I sighed a heavy breath of defeat, sat down, rested my back against the red stone wall next to me, and waited for inevitability."

The (1988) Alvin and the Chipmunks episode Novelization: The Brunch Club. (Based on the movie "The Breakfast Club") The Chipmunks and Chipettes were having a normal day at school, when suddenly, the school statue of Thomas Edison was knocked over and shattered! The principal is determined that one of the six chipmunks were guilty of committing this act, and decides to send them all to detention until someone confesses. Once the group realizes that it is not going to be easy to have someone admit their wrongs, Alvin, Simon, Theodore, Brittany, Jeanette, and Eleanor assemble a small court in the library where detention is being held. Taking turns, they take the spots of the judge, jury, witnesses, and lawyers to solve the mystery. Can Alvin and the gang get enough evidence and answers to find the culprit? It could be any one of the Chipmunks or Chipettes, or it could be someone completely out of the picture. Will Brittany and Eleanor get out of detention in time for their audition, will Alvin be able to learn how to cook Dave's favorite meal? Can Simon finish his art project in time, and will Theodore need more than a steam bath to loose weight? All these answers will be revealed in the most well known 'Who Dunnit' Chipmunk's story! As Alvin Seville has become lazy and is devoting the last few years to doing nothing, Brittany challenges him to climb a local mountain, Mt. Rainier ( I live in Washington so that's why I chose Rainier instead of Everest or something). Alvin gladly excepts, but unbeknownst to him, the journey up the mountain is more perilous than he thought...( Disclaimer: While I've been to Rainier, I never actually climbed it, so things might not be so accurate, also, this is not solely based on Alvin and Brittany's relationship, but it is still hinted. With that being said, this is my first story so don't judge too harshly)

You can imagine them in any generation, but I like to think of them during the CGI version! It was inspired by a dream I had, where I was Brittany. Immediately I knew I had to write a short story on it.
