Twins One, a Ranger. The other, a diplomat. Both, look like their mother. William and Alysster Treaty, they were named. William is like his father, Will Treaty, in the sense of becoming a Ranger and Alysster is like his mother, Alyss Treaty, in the sense of becoming a diplomat. The two brothers may have different career choices and different personalitites, but they don't have opposing views on anything. But things start turning for the worse when Alysster goes missing while out on a mission. William ends up going to extreme lengths to search for his brother. Even if it meant running to the spot where Alysster was last seen. Which happened to be in Gallica. Will William ever be able to find his lost twin? Or will Alysster be lost forever?

*I will change the title and cover later especially now they don't make as much sense with the plot as they used to* It's been twelve months, Will thought. Twelve months since she disappeared... maybe... maybe I should give up? Yes, Tug replied, this is getting unhealthy... speaking off, can I have an apple? Twelve months after Alyss Mainwarring, Will Treaty's wife, disappeared, Will is still determined to find her. So far, he didn't have any luck. He knows all his friends have given up on hope that she's still alive. But not Will. It's driving him mad, quite literally. Yet, when he comes home, for his monthly check-up with Halt, he finds something that changes everything. Yes, you're allowed to hate this, and me, because I know it sucks, and I know I have no heart, and I know I can't get the characters right. All the characters and places belong to John Flanagan, the amazing writer of several amazing series, and if I make something or someone up, I'll let you know. Oh, btw, as the title says, this is AU, and also, spoilers for the whole RA series because right now I can't think of the exact books... Just go read the series, Will (xD) ya? Also I think there aren't spoilers for book 12.. but I'm not promising anything, read at your own risk if you haven't finished the series.

I believed myself to be normal. Just like everyone else in this town. Just like everyone in this world But to learn the new facts about myself Shocked me pass the bones in my skin. How could this be? Alyss is a high school student who barely anyone new well. Sure, she had friends, but none of them truly new her. She discovered a new entertainment that'll change her life. And her smile.

The grassy slopes rose high above the ruins of the ancient castle. The legends were fascinating stories of hero's and underdogs, rising above to take on the challenges they faced. The sight was incredible. Nearly 1400 years since it had been the home of the greatest legends of the Common Era. And now here we are, standing at the ruins of what was once a powerful place. This takes place after book 14 in the Ranger's Apprentice series (also book 3 in the Royal Ranger series.) Alyss escaped the burned building! She also was pregnant when the inn burned down, with twins. She has to find a way to get back to Will, but over the years she has had to live in Picta keeping her identity unknown and raising her twins without a father. She needs not only to earn enough money, but to escape the sentries on the Picta border.
