But who is this woman, and what secrets does she hide? Soon after, Will and Maddie are sent on a new mission: Baron Farrell of Caraway has been murdered. Who killed Farrell? This takes place after book 14 in the Ranger's Apprentice series (also book 3 in the Royal Ranger series.) Alyss escaped the burned building! She also was pregnant when the inn burned down, with twins. She has to find a way to get back to Will, but over the years she has had to live in Picta keeping her identity unknown and raising her twins without a father. She needs not only to earn enough money, but to escape the sentries on the Picta border.

The Ranger Corps, a highly well known archery/boot camp had been set up by hardcore fans of the Rangers Apprentice series in real life. But you need more than the love of the Rangers Apprentice series to get in. This organisation is also a group of detectives, or in other words a special force that helps to investigate mysteries and cases with the police. But not even the ordinary police officers know their identity, for only the highest level of authority can call on them. So to disguise their real reason as the Ranger Corps, the Corps hold several archery camps each year. During these archery camps, the people who've come are secretly assessed and tested to see if they can qualify for been a Ranger, if they are willing to do so. Follow Alex on her adventures and missions as a apprentice Ranger and Ranger. What are you waiting for?
