His parents are the bosses of a popular Mafia group in Japan. They've trained him with every single weapon that the group uses and even trained him with every fight skill they know. They want him to become the leader when they go.. but he wants nothing to do with them. He wants his own life now that he knows everything they've taught him. When Tamaki finally runs away at the age of 17, he takes his parents money with him. He pays for an apartment and lives his own life from paying his own bills, going to school and keeping up the shy act to throw off bad guys. Guess you could say he's almost two people in one body
