Ever since his brother Tsukasa got sick and left him, his parents became stricter even more than before. They yelled at him, blaming him for things he never did, and sometimes physically and emotionally abused him. After losing his twin brother, compounded by the physical and verbal bullying he endured at school, Amane Yugi began to feel gloomy and devoid of strong emotions, as if he had a great emptiness, as if he had lost everything. Then he began to think it would be easier if he left this world. His greatest desire was to let his dreams wander, leaving them unfulfilled, but he was still held back. After he transferred to the new school, he began to frequent it, unable to make friends. No one looked favorably on him; between bad whispers and comments, it was as if nothing had changed. Amane Yugi was an average student at Kamome Academy in Tokyo, Japan. His grades were okay, he got bullied quite frequently, and his brother was incredibly popular. Teru Minamoto, a very popular third-year in the high-school division, has it out for Amane. When he pushes Amane into the train tracks to die, he suddenly has the ability to see Yokai, including the notorious Teke-Teke!

Nobody cared about her, she was alone. However, Nene worked hard to get back on top. She spent countless hours trying to find a good job to support herself. She took karate lessons so she could fight back, and around a year later, she finds herself as the most popular girl in the whole school. Everyone, either afraid of her, or drawn by her amazing looks. She was now known as, "The Sour Candy Queen".

Nene arrives at school and is told that there are 2 new boys in the grade. Aoi tells her about them and Nene's interest is greatly peaked, But one of the twins specifically catches her attention, She just needs to find out his name...
