They have been getting closer lately, he guessed. More shared looks, teasing glances. The daily scolding and fighting were becoming softer, familiar, maybe even fonder. There were jokes about them acting like a bickering married couple. Did that mean they were romantic, in the way Suzy talked about her crushes? In the way Lucy gushed over the couples on TV? Sammy respectfully disagreed.
