Julien is an ordinary teenager when he meets the girl who will one day become his wife. Raised by his mother, he lives a perfectly normal life, until the day two doctors turn his world upside down. Kidnapped, he is told his genetics can be altered. They offer to make him a superhero. He refuses. Julien just wants to go home. But inside his apartment, chaos awaits him. Furniture overturned. Silence. A bloody handprint on the wall... and his wife is gone. What happened? Should he have accepted the transformation? And most importantly, will he reach her in time to save the one he loves?

This is my original work on the death of Superman in my Marvel/DC shared universe. The story takes place near the end of World War II.
