It contains one in 10 known species on Earth, 40,000 plant species, 3,000 freshwater fish species, and more than 370 types of reptiles. Over 2,000 new species of plants and vertebrates, including a monkey that purrs like a cat, have been described since 1999. These figures are based on documents only. Because it has been believed that no one has been able to search Amazon completely. And if we consider it, these figures can be even bigger. When research is done on Amazon, different species of trees, plants, and animals emerge. If this fact is taken into consideration, there are many such mystery burials in Amazon, which no one knows about.

In "Samaúma", I kneel not before something divine, but before human existence-the facets of human nature we all carry. The poem explores a dynamic of confrontation and powerlessness, where my own being reveals itself as an opportunistic vine, attempting to choke the samaúma, a towering tree symbolizing something vast and untouchable. There are no villains here; it's a struggle between something small and self-seeking against an ancient, unyielding force. The samaúma stands as an ancestral strength, while I find myself vulnerable-a shrunken soul before its grandeur, even as I attempt to rationalize and reshape what's beyond my control. This poem captures my struggle between my tropical origins and the new reality around me. I search for comfort and familiarity, longing for a sense of home. Being too tropical for this place and its people, I constantly seek to belong and be understood, yet I find it challenging to adapt. And so, I struggle-over and over again. I am capable of mimicking, like the samaúma does, but that will never change the fact that my veins are tropical.

In the second half of the 21st century, the Amazon is reduced to monocultures controlled by corporations that sell sustainability while destroying what remains of the Earth. A skeptical vegan accompanies his friend, heir to the world's largest food empire, on a business trip. But he knows there's something wrong, dangerous, about these "green" transitions. On board, a silent flight attendant seems to be hiding more than a uniform. When the plane crashes in the jungle, the three must face not only the dangers of the forest, but also an Amazonia that no one imagined existed: a refuge silently reforested by a people who secretly resist corporate destruction. Live here for more than 10 years and I can see so many changes day by day, just looking at my back yard. By the way, a cool back yard that many things happen there.
