Amélia Nadine Dutra tinha onze anos quando uma fonte decidiu atacá-la. Ou, pelo menos, foi assim que ela contou. Poucos meses depois, uma arara azul apareceu em sua janela trazendo uma carta para o Palácio Mondyk - uma escola escondida no coração da Amazônia, onde crianças aprendiam que o folclore brasileiro talvez tivesse muito mais verdade do que os livros deixavam escapar. Amélia não sabia nada sobre magia. Não sabia tomar banho em rio, cozinhar uma poção ou conviver com animais que, segundo ela, tinham tamanhos completamente desnecessários. Mas sabia fazer amigos. Ou, pelo menos, eventualmente aprenderia. Entre tantos estudantes, encontrou pessoas que talvez não devessem significar tanto quanto significaram. Ao lado delas, Amélia cresceu em Mondyk enquanto aprendia a existir entre dois mundos: o dos Vazios, onde nasceu, e o dos Luminares, onde descobriu que pertencia. Até que, aos dezesseis anos, o mundo deixou de permitir que ela e seus amigos fossem apenas estudantes. A política entre os Luminares se tornou instável. Antigas alianças começaram a ruir, novas ameaças surgiram e uma guerra, que durante muito tempo pareceu distante, passou a exigir jovens demais para ser ignorada. Era o início da Era de Marã. Como uma verdadeira filha d'água, Amélia foi treinada. Não pelas honras que futuramente poderiam vir, nem pelo orgulho, mas porque, em algum momento, sobreviver deixou de ser uma escolha individual. Esta é a história de Amélia Nadine Dutra. Ou, pelo menos, a história que consegui reunir. Porque existem registros. Existem diários. Existem testemunhas. No fim, talvez Amélia Nadine Dutra tenha sido apenas uma garota que recebeu uma carta estranha aos onze anos e acabou envolvida em uma guerra. Ou talvez tenha se tornado algo maior, ao lado dos amigos aos quais permaneceu leal. Há dois anos, aquela vila ribeirinha no coração do Amapá o recebeu de portas abertas. Cafés, risadas, promessas de voltar. Desta vez, as portas se fecham na sua cara. Trip to amazonia

My first introduction to Amazon was when I heard that the Anaconda featured in movies was found only in Amazon. Not only anaconda but many animals that you have not heard or seen are found in Amazon. And not only animals but also many types of trees and plants are found in the Amazon which can not be seen anywhere. If sources are to be believed, The Amazon is one of Earth's last refuges for jaguars, harpy eagles, and pink river dolphins, and it is home to sloths, black spider monkeys, and poison dart frogs. It contains one in 10 known species on Earth, 40,000 plant species, 3,000 freshwater fish species, and more than 370 types of reptiles. Over 2,000 new species of plants and vertebrates, including a monkey that purrs like a cat, have been described since 1999. These figures are based on documents only. Because it has been believed that no one has been able to search Amazon completely. And if we consider it, these figures can be even bigger. When research is done on Amazon, different species of trees, plants, and animals emerge. If this fact is taken into consideration, there are many such mystery burials in Amazon, which no one knows about.

In "Samaúma", I kneel not before something divine, but before human existence-the facets of human nature we all carry. The poem explores a dynamic of confrontation and powerlessness, where my own being reveals itself as an opportunistic vine, attempting to choke the samaúma, a towering tree symbolizing something vast and untouchable. There are no villains here; it's a struggle between something small and self-seeking against an ancient, unyielding force. The samaúma stands as an ancestral strength, while I find myself vulnerable-a shrunken soul before its grandeur, even as I attempt to rationalize and reshape what's beyond my control. This poem captures my struggle between my tropical origins and the new reality around me. I search for comfort and familiarity, longing for a sense of home. Being too tropical for this place and its people, I constantly seek to belong and be understood, yet I find it challenging to adapt. And so, I struggle-over and over again. I am capable of mimicking, like the samaúma does, but that will never change the fact that my veins are tropical.
