The world was called Mundus Ater, and no one dared any longer to say that it was alive. It was not dead, no: it still breathed, but as bodies do that have passed the point where healing is possible. Forests and woods were dead, the sky was a motionless milky expanse, and the light filtering from above seemed like a weary consciousness, incapable of distinguishing good from necessity.

A parade clown gives gifts to children and families, but something dark lurks behind them.

Just a little thingy made out of boredom. I might continue it. It's mainly just a bunch of scenarios based off of vents I've seen or have said. This could be considered poetry? Idk. TW⚠️: This will contain a lot of touchy subjects, but I'm not going to list them at the beginning of every part because it breaks the immersion. Read at your own risk.

This house holds many things... many many things... some living and some not alive... The owner of said home is what some call the Amasser... The Amasser collects the things and desires blood and companionship or something better to do... The Amasser has a hobby other than collecting you see... he also enjoys hunting his prey... but most of all... he loves a game of hide and seek... he loves to play with his Trinket... his precious... little... Trinket... Would you like to meet Trinket? he's not very interesting... but he is so very fascinating... Steve and Alex have always been wild-hearted explorers. They live in Canada, sure, but the real thrill for them is everything outside the ordinary. During one of their adventures, they stumble into a hidden cave - and straight into an abandoned underground fortress. A stone temple sits at the center, covered in strange carvings written in a language they've never seen before. Blue torches glow along the walls, cold and mysterious. Here, magic replaces technology. Creatures replace comfort. And dimensions replace any hope of a simple escape. This project is my dream come to life - a taste of how I'd turn Minecraft into a live-action series, and a peek at what it would feel like to drop into a world where every step could be discovery... or danger. I became a wizard of the Illusion Magic School and decided to create a virtual reality with illusion magic to play a tabletop role-playing game (TRPG). It was great to create a virtual reality, but I was in trouble because there were no suitable players. During that time, I received an offer to be the professor from the Royal Academy. The offer was to use illusion magic to fill the students' lack of practical experience safely. And so, I became a professor at the academy. "Send me back, send me back to that world right now-!" "Outer god, someday an outer god will be our doom, we'll all die!!" "I am not the bastard of the Redburn Ducal Family. I am the foremost disciple of the Great Namgung Clan, Namgung Qinghui!" But it seems there is a bit of a misunderstanding. This isn't a spell for dimensional travel, kids. It's fiction... Notes: Credits to the original author I'm just translating this great novel for reading purposes.
