But Nathalie could not participate, due to the side effects and illness that the peacock miraculous had gracefully damaged her with. She was instead doomed to work in her room, doomed to flip through pages of a grimoire that provided less hope than it gave, and doomed to help Gabriel Agreste. A man that she had dedicated the last 19 years of her life to. But was it really worth it? Was HE really worth it? Was she herself really worth it? As she thinks further about the questions that were uncomfortably filling her head, she feels that she's losing herself. She feels herself realizing how much she is actually losing. How much she has actually lost. And for who, and for what? As she drowns deeper and deeper down in her thoughts, a hand reaches down to her. But if she takes it, will it get better or worse?
