When people experience loss in their lives, they do all they can to move on with their lives, attempting to forget about their past. For Amara Butera, this wasn't the case. Her parents were murdered right in front of her, leaving a permanent scar in her mind that she would never be able to escape from. Instead of moving on, Amara uses the loss of her parents to fuel her anger into applying into the CIA to become a recruit. Mitch Rapp has also suffered a great amount of loss in his life and decides to take the initiative in assassinating the terrorist responsible for his fiancé' s death, catching the eye of the same recruiting team. What happens when Amara and Mitch cross paths and are put on the same team to stop a new found terrorist? One thing is for sure, their want for revenge adds nothing but fuel to the fire, bringing forth even more losses and victories.
