📅 New chapters every Friday ✍️ Written in simple, easy English so more people can feel the story. This is not just a story. It is a life many people carry quietly They thought coming here would change everything. They didn't know what it would take. They didn't come to New York chasing dreams. They came carrying them. A quiet house in Queens-New York, shared spaces, and rules no one explains. Strangers become family. Silence says more than words. Each woman is building something: a future, a way out, a version of herself she hasn't reached yet. The house has its own rhythm. Its own way of holding people together. No one talks about it. But everyone feels it. Between long workdays, late-night thoughts, and messages from home, they begin to understand what it really means to stay... to endure... and to keep going. Because some dreams don't change your life. They ask you to survive it.

This is a free copy of the actual "The Great Gatsby" for anyone to read. It's also free online, but I'm putting it here to make it easier. Description : Nick Carraway is a young Midwestern man freshly arrived in New York to make his fortune. He rents a shabby apartment in Long Island next door to a sumptuous mansion: the home of the mysterious and wealthy Jay Gatsby. Carraway spends time catching up with his distant cousin Daisy and her industry-baron husband Tom before being invited to one of Gatsby's wildly lavish weekend parties. There he meets Jordan, a flapper and a golf star, and an intricate web of romances and betrayals begins to unfold. Approximately 50,000 words. This was a poetry assignment I was to do for school last year. The prompt was 'The American Dream', so I made the poem from my own views of the American Dream as I see it. Enjoy! And P.S. I don't write a lot of poetry so... yeah.

Sevaa'ane- a literal cutthroat immigrant to the anarchy that used to be Manhattan. Firna- her roommate, a city-born rich girl turned apothecary and poisoner who is determined to figure out the other girl's secrets. Manhattan- The city that never sleeps is dead, buried under corpses and panic from the plague that swept through the world faster than any cure could combat. Food is easy to come by, because no one is alive to man the bodegas. The wail of an ambulance is silent, the drivers and medics were the first to die. Survivors are scarce, and scared. Welcome to the United States, please enjoy your quarantine period.
