I wrote this for my American Literature class. It's a spinoff of the great Gatsby. It is 9 chapters just like The Great Gatsby. The setting is that they are in high school, but with an interesting twist. I called it Ellismere high but titled the book Gatsby High. I wrote this book in about 8 hours so I apologize if it's not that great or has spelling and grammar errors as I'm sure it does. And as always please comment(I would love feedback), vote, or share.

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, is an American children's novel written by author L. Frank Baum and illustrated by W. W. Denslow, originally published by the George M. Hill Company in Chicago on May 17, 1900. It has since been reprinted on numerous occasions, most often under the title The Wizard of Oz, which is the title of the popular 1902 Broadway musical as well as the iconic 1939 musical film adaptation. The story chronicles the adventures of a young farm girl named Dorothy in the magical Land of Oz, after she and her pet dog Toto are swept away from their Kansas home by a cyclone. The novel is one of the best-known stories in American literature and has been widely translated. Its groundbreaking success and the success of the Broadway musical adapted from the novel led Baum to write thirteen additional Oz books that serve as official sequels to the first story.

This is my unedited (as in I have not received critique from my teacher to edit it for a final, polished copy) IEW/EIL American Literature essay, modeled on Benjamin Franklin's Autobiography. The prompt, according to my textbook- "Write a chapter in your personal autobiography in the style of Benjamin Franklin. Tell of an event or period of time in which you grew or were transformed in some way. Be sure to include humor and at least a few wise sayings." So if you read this, I recommend reading the first chapter or so of his autobiography in order to grasp the context of this essay and better understand it. Critique is more than welcome! Your favorite failure, Bree <3 **Please don't steal or copy or anything like that. Thank you!**

She is the eldest daughter of a refugee family from Afghanistan who's grown up in New York City. Zainab's narcisistic and abusive stepfather is adamant about raising his family the traditional way even in the middle of a metropolitan city. Ever wonder what occurred between the death of Myrtle and Tom discovering that she died? Well, this story is the missing piece in the story telling you what happened between Gatsby and Daisy on the drive home. This Chapter is fanmade on my own depiction on what events took place in those timelines. If you do no the book it is The Great Gatsby by Scott F. Fitzgerald.
