Aida Ayres was walking back home after a day of shopping in Italy. The weather was absolute perfection. Blue skies, a soft breeze, and sunshine beaming down on Venice. Of course, life is a b*tch. A scooter suddenly appeared as I turned the corner of the canal and the driver didn't have enough time to hit the break before it slammed into me and knocked me into the canal. WTF I screamed and my first initial thought was: R.I.P my new white superstar Adidas Alfred Jennings, or known as Alfie, was spending his summer in Italy helping him pregnant Aunt with her café. Everything was fine until he was running late on a delivery. That was when he ran into someone and they fell into the canal. Sh*t! Oh no, ohhhhh noooo, crap. I sat there, on my scooter in shock. My first initial thought was: she better not be dead or else I will loose my spot on the leader board. That my friends is the start of the story.

This is a short story of exactly 1000 words. There's a lot covered in that small word count - it has the end of the world, a long quest, American Indians, a love story, and a battle with a killer drone. The two characters in the story appear in my two-book, end of the world epic, Regina's World. I plan on writing another book sometime in the future that focuses on them, but for now, I hope you enjoy how much is crammed into only 1000 words and will comment on the story. I am also going to start putting up the early chapters of Regina's World.

The brutal and violent sequel to "Mania of the Zombies: Return of Gretel Harding". Rated PG-13 for strong, bloody violence, sex scenes, some coarse language, and adult themes. This is novel is inspired by George A. Romero's "The Crazies", (1973).
