Hetalia academy AU. Arthur's life isn't great right now. His "friends" somehow found out about his sexuality, the only thing he wanted nobody to know about. As teenagers go, of course they weren't very accepting. That's how he ended up bloody and bruised in the school courtyard. Just when things are looking dark, something unexpected appears. And never did Arthur ever expect, that he would be hanging around with the slightly annoying, slightly hyperactive, student council outcast, known by the name of Alfred F Jones. When you wake up in a hospital finding you lost your memory, you struggle to regain it while still having to go to school with... Countries?! Arthur receives a message from Alfred at the beginning of a World Meeting announcing that he will not be making an appearance due to " not feeling well ". When the British man arrives at Alfreds house to check on him, he discovers that the actual reason he didn't show up was because he had gotten high.

England has a letter from America and he notices three words that he believes it isn't a sign of love.

Alfred just arrived at Camp Halfblood. He's excited to finally fit in somewhere he belongs with other kids just like him. He's introduced to the camp heads and councilors and shown to the Hermes cabin to settle in until he's claimed. But something else captures his eye. More than anything else he'd seen so far, including the moving rock wall with lava on it. Another camper, an incredibly cute one, tending to the strawberry patches. To Alfred it was as if Eros just struck him with his arrow. It was love at first sight. He'd fallen so fast he didn't even bother to stop and question orientations. No doubt Alfred tries to talk to the stranger. Learns his name is Arthur, and makes a complete fool of himself. Alfred makes other friends too, those going over much better. And that very night he was claimed. Alfred has Hyperthymesia, a brain condition in which every single moment of his life is etched into his brain and everything he sees can never be forgotten. Arthur is a neuroscientist working in the hospital where Alfred is frequently tested. Arthur runs into the cute patient at the hospital and gets a little curious. Why is he there? What's his deal? To say that Alfred Jones didn't believe in ghosts wasn't entirely true. It was more so that he lived in willful ignorance. He chose not to believe in them simply because the alternative was terrifying. Truly, it was more accurate to say that Alfred was terrified of ghosts. Of course, Alfred would never admit any of that. Not the sweaty palms and dread in his chest whenever ghosts were mentioned, not the avoidance of anything with ghosts, nothing. - Can't think of any warnings other than ghosting (ha) the topic of death. Was supposed to be a Halloween special, but I didn't think of it until literally Halloween, so we're gonna ignore the date this was posted. I plan on making this a series! This was fun to write and I gave a few ideas.
