Alltough he was removed from the mission on delivering Likos pendant to Gibeon, Amethio is still on the chase after her and the Rising Volt Tacklers, determined to find out, what mystery between her and that object really is. As he follows the group traveling trough a forest with the help of his Corviknight, the young teen suddenly spots Spinel following the group as well. Being still very sceptical about his methods for achieving his goals, he decides to follow him, seeing what he has planned. So while doing that, a sudden scream is noticed to be coming from a cliff. Arriving at its location, Amethio suddenly sees, much to his shock, an injured Liko laying badly wounded near indeed a cliff, with an evil and somewhat insane grinning Spinel slowly approaching her, to probably snatching her pendant or possibly worse, hurting her even more... Realizing what is about to happen, Amethio instantly jumps in front of the beated down Pokémon Trainer, confronting Spinel and protecting Liko, even if it means, he is going to get hurt next... New students go to a school called the Indigo Academy among them is a girl name Liko with a special pendant and becoming a Pokémon Trainer. But a stranger comes asking Liko to escort her and the pendant to her grandmother. When Liko was about to escape they met another stranger who helped her.

After leaving Paldea, the only home she's ever known, Liko is attending Indigo Academy in the Kanto region, with nothing but a pendant she believes to be nothing more than a good luck charm. Slowly but surely, she makes friends, gains a Pokemon partner she trusts, and finally begins to feel comfortable there. That is, until a sketchy stranger appears, claiming to have a letter from her Grandmother mentioning the pendant. Dubious, she tries to run, but is faced by more strangers in similar uniform to the first. She prays for a savior, but no help comes. Now she, along with her Sprigatito, has only one thing on her mind. Getting herself and her pendant as far away from these people as she can. or Friede doesn't arrive in time to save Liko, so she runs away and is now being tracked down by not only Amethio and the Explorers, but the Rising Volt Tacklers.
