Luz Noceda was always an odd duck. She was able to see things nobody else could, but it was passed off. It was always passed off. Either she was "imaginative," or she was "schizophrenic," or she was "weird." The labels changed, but the meaning stayed the same; something was wrong with her, but the truth was far simpler, and far darker than she could have known. Luz wasn't seeing things; she was seeing curses. Curses who were gathering in her town because of secret deals made before she was born. After an incredible day together, Luz and Amity aren't quite ready to end their date just yet. Luz decides to show Amity the same view that helped give her a different perspective on the Boiling Isles themselves, and in doing so, she gets some much-needed affirmation on just how much happier she's become since the Isles became a part of her life. It was a frenzied period of transition for everyone in the Boiling Isles.
