The infinite is beautiful and terrifying.

This poem was inspired by Charles Bukowski's poem "Cold Summer'. It is taking the same observational perspective of the time we have left. The thing that is more precious than gold or any other monetary value we place on physical items. Time is something we are gifted with but we don't know how much of it we have, but we seem to do a great job wasting a lot of it. In a post-apocalyptic world infused with elements of rebirth and unique spatial abilities, Watson, known as the Void King, survives through unmatched perseverance. He outlasts all other survivors, leaving a world inhabited only by monsters and no other humans. Finding life meaningless, Watson chooses to bury himself, not out of inability to survive, but a lack of desire to continue living. To his surprise, he wakes up to find himself reborn a month before the apocalypse. "Mr. Watson, your order of one hundred fried chicken family buckets has arrived." "Mr. Watson, your reservation of one hundred portions of roast duck is here." "Mr. Watson, the ten thousand tons of pork you ordered have been delivered." Faced with a second chance, Watson prepares for the impending doom, stockpiling supplies and gearing up to establish his power in this new timeline, determined to make different choices.
