As he is haunted by every thing his mind comes up with. A fan fiction story of Frog and Toad, told from Toad's perspective, tells the grief-stricken tale of love, loss, and healing.

Reed is a rescue axolotl who lives at the Riverstone Conservation Lab, a large nature center that takes in injured and abandoned animals ranging from tiny turtles to large storks and herons, and he's enjoyed life there for about three years. Kids poke his tank and whisper things to the glass that he receives as pulses. But then, when one child starts fooling around with his enclosure, putting him in severe danger, Reed realizes just how much he's let his guard down in the past few years, and what that could cost him.
