I describe my love for Amy Winehouse; and how I wish she was still on Earth to live and to create beautiful and unique music. One of the most beautiful women I have ever laid eyes on! Her stunning hazel eyes, the beehive hairdo, her tattoos! I loved (and still do love) her for her! Occasionally, I think about her. Every day, I miss her. Before her death, I only knew who she was and was familiar with the song, "Rehab". Sadly, it was not until after Amy's death that I really began getting into and enjoying her music. She is by far one of my favorite female vocalists; and, my favorite female lyricist! Her lyrics consisted of originality and cleverness. Her songs had powerful messages behind them. Everything she put out music-wise was just so original and heartfelt. It's a pain to know she cannot make any more music today... I sure wished she would have lived longer. Like with other musicians that have passed on, I wonder what would have happened with her personally and professionally if she had still been living. Now, the only way I can "know" her is through what I see or hear online; or, if I read something. Unfortunately, I have had to watch her deteriorate (via YouTube, movies, and documentaries). Overall, it was the toxic lifestyle that she delved into that eventually destroyed her. Not that I wish for peoples' deaths, but, I have always wondered why certain individuals can end up living in falsely glamorized toxic lifestyles and survive, while others die off?! Anyways, even though she's gone now, Amy Winehouse is someone that I will always love; and this time, I hope she can really be at peace...

Why do all the good die young? So many stars, gone at the age of 27. Huh, it seems like the universe picked an odd number since so many beloved stars have passed at 27, and even younger. Just think about it, Kurt Cobain, 27, Amy Winehouse, 27, Jonathan Brandis, 27. It's like there's some 27's club where stars are plucked from this earth, who knows where they go? For a young 13 year old girl like Valetta Wallace, she never payed much attention to the tragedies of people gone too soon, until her idol Aaron Medway, died at 27 years old. The same way most of them do, drug overdose. Valetta is of course devastated by this news, but upon looking more into not only the death of her idol, but the heartbreaking loss of stars throughout the years, she begins to discover new things and ideas, while learning just how short and precious life really is.
