Guilty Tears is a fanmade analogue horror story presented in 6 short videos, each being around 4 minutes long. Here I will be trying to solve the lore behind these videos. I have recently watched it and everything is fresh in my head. I think it is reasonable to mention that I have read the comments on the last of the videos and most of my theories come from said comments!

For over Millenia, The Archangel Gabriel has been trapped and seemingly forgotten within the tomb of sand. In his absence a twist imitation has taken his name, and face, whilst spreading fear, manipulating faith, and causing havoc in the quiet corners of Mandela County. But the tomb doesn't hold forever. As something stirs beneath the surface. The sand shifts, and the Archangel Gabriel is soon set free of the endless abyss of sand that he had been stuck in for so long. Now, it is now his job deliver a divine message and to restore the lost hope of the people in Mandela County.
