Translation: Hellas: Resurrection of the Emperor The year is 1936, and the cradle of civilization is a fractured ruin. In a world where the Great Powers have crumbled into splinters, even the "Giant of the West" has fallen; the United States has shattered into four warring hearts: the Pacific States, the Confederacy, the Unaligned States, and the desperate Federalists. But while the world looks at the collapse of the New World, an ancient shadow stirs in the Mediterranean. Under the banner of the Kingdom of Greece, a new generation of radicals looks past the borders of the 19th century toward a golden, blood-stained past. They do not want a Republic. They do not want a mere Kingdom. They want the Phoenix. In Season 1C, we follow the path of the iron-willed fascists in Athens. Their goal is singular and terrifying: the total reclamation of the East. From the ruins of the Balkans to the gates of Constantinople, the foundations for the Byzantine Empire are being laid in secret. The gods are silent, but the guns are loaded. Will the purple banner fly over the Hagia Sophia once more, or will the fragmented world swallow the Greek dream whole? Will our dreams of Eastern Rome be achieved? Will we take vengeance on Ottomans, Persians, or Arab Caliphates? We will bring Eastern Orthodoxy to the world as we work with Protestants and Christians alike-even the Jews-to restore the Eternal Throne.

Oh, the apples on the trees. Beside the mother, as I walk these ruins of buildings that stood before us. Mother heavy stomach carrying another misfoster of a child. Aching and craving more affection of another horrendous man. I am perhaps mothers first and for her, only child. The other she carried are gone, left under the wing of the unfortunate father. Arlas is daughter of the godess of beauty, Eroz. Eroz being the no-loving mother with an addiction of getting hooked up with powerful men, gods, perhaps everything that moves in a five mile radius. In this little fairytail of mine we'll see how Arlas grows up in the surrounding of such a godess. This story is just a little project for myself to stay motivated, so we'll see how far I'll get with this. Remember now. I'm still a teenager and english isn't my first language so, please be kind. The Aeneid is an epic poem written in 12 books and is modeled in part on the great Greek epic poems, on Homer's Iliadand Odyssey, and on Apollonius' Argonautica. The Iliad describes the exploits of Achilles and other Greek heroes in the Trojan War (the same war which forced Aeneas to leave Troy and is described in Book II of the Aeneid) whilst the Odyssey describes how Ulysses (or Odysseus in Greek) wandered for many years, trying to return home after the Trojan War. The first six books of the Aeneid parallel the Odyssey because they describe Aeneas' search for a home. Aeneas even stops in many of the same places that Odysseus did. There is an important difference, however, for whilst Odysseus was trying to return to his original home, Aeneas must find a new place in which to settle and make his home. The second six books parallel the Iliad, for they describe the war in Italy just as the Iliad describes the Trojan War. Again, there are many parallels. For example, the Trojans are besieged inside their fort in Italy just as they were trapped inside Troy. But again there is an important difference, since the Iliad describes how the Trojans lost the war and Troy fell but in theAeneid the Trojans win the war in Italy and get the chance to build a new city. Virgil imitates many scenes from both the Iliad and the Odyssey in his epic, but he always changes them in significant ways so that they illustrate his own Roman themes. One of the most important differences between Homer's epics and the Aeneid is that it can be read as a patriotic poem whilst the Iliad and the Odyssey are poems about individuals and their adventures.

Wake up at the ass-crack of dawn, get on a school bus full of kids Avin doesn't like, and go to the nearest museum for their grade 12 history field trip. And it started out that way. It really did. Then Ben had to go and touch something. - - 2000 years ago the gods happened to lose that certain something. A year-long man hunt came back with nothing. The artifact was deemed lost forever (all because of a certain god with sticky fingers, but shhh, don't tell Zeus). Now, two 21st century boys were stuck in Ancient Greece. And they were in for a real one. .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... .... *Cover photo found on Pinterest. Drawn by Emma Ryan* Started: January 27, 2021

    • IN PROGRESS • A fan-written backstory detailing the origins of Aro, the leader of the Volturi. In Athens, Greece, over 3,000 years ago, a baby boy was born, though endangering his mother's life to near-death. In order to save her, the mother had to experience a change, one that unknowingly would shape the existence of her child's life for centuries to come. This change was known as the transformation into a potis aimatos. In English, this translates to blood drinker. Henceforth, the human boy would grow up within two worlds, blossoming into an introspective child who was curious about each one from the start. The world of the potis aimatos astounded him. Immortality, enhanced physicality, heightened senses. Time allowing for infinite knowledge to be gained. One day, he knew a mere human fascination would not be enough. This world was one of which he knew he belonged. And one day, he would grow to become one of the most powerful figures such world had ever seen. And it all began in ancient Athens, with a human boy's innocent curiosities. Everyone has to begin somewhere, after all.

Author's note: The following excerpts may not be in chronological order, but are close, and are meant simply to capture different time periods and characters encompassing many centuries. These entries are not meant to be fully historically accurate and are supposed to have some comedic value. This was originally done for a college English project--yes, I did Hetalia fanfic for an assignment--but I was proud of it and felt I did decent writing it. It is mainly from the perspective of Greece's mother, with references to other ancients and Greece. It follows several points in history with focus on the culture and arts of the time. Obviously, Ancient Greece is not a main character, and there is ver y little canon information on her. so this is mostly just my interpretation of the character, sort of as an OC, but with actual historical facts and cultural details, so I followed the true Hetalia style. There is enough real facts (it was after all for an assignment)I have labeled it as historical fiction
