Neil was caught between a hard place and a rock. His lungs heaved as he desperately tried to suck in air, but to no avail. He couldn't breath. Tears ran down his face as he smothered his strangled sobs against his pillow. He didn't know how long he could keep up this act. All he wanted was Todd. Todd couldn't sleep. He hadn't been able to for the past few nights. All he could think about was Neil. His lips as they closed over a cigarette. His brown eyes sparkling as he practiced his lines as Puck. His wet hair and how it clung to his neck after a shower. Todd squeezed his eyes tight as he tried to will away the wicked images. He shouldn't be staring at his best friend like that. It was unnatural. It meant he was a fairy. Yet Todd couldn't help but stare. A story of two boys coming together, overcoming some of life's obstacles, and falling in love with each other; until one is tragically taken away.

T.W. --- there might be mentions of mental illnesses: such as depression, eating disorders, suicidal tendencies, borderline personality disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, anxiety, manic, obsessive compulsive disorder, paranoia, schizophrenia. other things such as: body image issues, self-harm, SA, child abuse, abuse in general, substance use, alcoholism, self-hatred. (i dont know, man. dont judge. i dont know words for things.) (there might be more. but i'll put a trigger warming on each chapter + try to explain the chapter completely without mentioning the triggering parts.)

The year is 1959 Todd Anderson is a lost soul. He's been lost for a long time, live behind the shadows of his brother for his whole life make him to be a shy person and full of insecurities. Listening on his parents always talk about his brother achievements didn't help to make him better. From Balincrest, now he have to move to a school that his parents always dreamed about, Welton Academy. Where his brother was a valedictorian and used to be one of the best students in the school. He was lost. until someone named, Neil Perry come in to his life. And somehow his life started to become more colorful instead of just grey and white. But behind the cheerful acts, smile that never falters from his face. Neil Perry is an another lost soul. He have his own problems, his own nightmares. Can they both safe each other? Or will they burn together? * All the characters and name of places belong to the movie,"dead poets society" and all the people behind it.

1960. note style. neil always receives a note in the five centuries of verse book just before each meeting from a signed, "to my rose." with all of the members of the dead poets society making fun of him for the letters, neil decides to ask their help of who it is and well, maybe it's one of their own. <<1971, Todd Anderson and Neil Perry happen to share an appartment as buddies. Todd works in a very, very boring office while Neil is living his Broadway dream. One day Neil gets the main role from a musical called "Grease". He plays "Danny Zuko", Leader of the T-Birds group, basically a jock. As used to, Todd helps him with learning the script, And in the end he's invited to come to the show. One thing leads another and Todd is soon Amazed by seeing his long-term crush playing a "bad boy", in leather jacket and smoking cigarettes.>>

Neil closed his eyes, heard the beating of his heart and the coldness of the snow until it was all that he could feel, all that he ever wanted to feel, and all that he ever was. A silhouette painted on a naked, icy sky. ---- this is an anderperry fan-fiction set briefly after Neil's 'death.'
