Undertale stuff I made

Since I'm new to Wattpad, I'm just going to ask a few questions about some characters I'm thinking of. The main one is that I'm thinking about making a character with magical powers, but I don't want to make them unlimited. I also want to make it so it looks like I'm trying too hard (I know, it seems rediculous). This is just the most important question right now - I would appreciate responses that relate to the question, but I'm gonna ignore any comments regarding me eliminating magic in general; it's a fantasy story, so I'm pretty keen on keeping that element, no matter how cliché.
