The flow of time has recently been found to have preferential directions. As part of the research team, Trego helped with the discovery of a non-linearity to time flow. Quickly after the discovery, the entire corporation is bought out and closed; he is left without a job. Trying to find any answers, he comes across an alluring girl no one else can see, but before he can get answers he is shot and barely escapes. The day ends with him being killed by an energy wave originating from the lab. He wakes up, remembering everything that just occurred. He wonders if it was a prophetic dream and a type of precognition, or is the research he was part of on time alluding to something even darker?

What makes an individual human? Is it they're knowledge, or maybe the unique use of emotion not often found in other species. Whatever the case may be for our young android the question still remains: is she on par with humanity?

Rank Three is the story of Alex Stossel, a young African-American woman growing up in 2300's America. Horrifically wounded in a car crash she became a 'mech', a cyborg, at a young age. Forced to flee from society's persecution of her kind, she grows up in an underground railroad of mechs under the care of her mentor, Al. For Alex, life is monotonously dangerous until she meets Natalie Joshi in a botched robbery. Through a series of accidental meetings they grow closer and romance blossoms, but dangers lurks in Capital City and threatens to tear the young couple apart.

On the planet of Natsuna, people are placed in one of four castes. Each caste is dictated by each person's ability to connect with nature. From these connections they can utilize orbs called "Nature's Bounties". Each orb gives the person one of two abilities depending on their connection. First caste is the Protectors. Those who serve to preserve the law and can connect with silver bounties that control the gravitational field around them. The second being Nurturers, those sworn to keep peace between the citizens and nature. They have the ability to control the four elements with a clear bounty. The third caste most common on the planet being citizens. People who are unable to connect to bounties. Then the last being Guardian, a person who has the deepest connection to the planet through the bounty. Liebe, found to be the new Guardian, is placed in the role of finding what is best for their society. Will those of Natsuana find ruin, or will they strike hot at the balance needed to forge onward?
