On the day of his kid Andy's birthday, A good-hearted cowboy named Sheriff Woody who is in charge of the room tells all the other toys that life as a toy isn't about getting played with or being the favorite toy, it's about being their for Andy when he needs them. All of that was about to change when Andy gets a new space astronaut toy by the name of Buzz Lightyear which causes Woody to become angrily jealous of him. A kind hearted princess doll named Princess Sylvia tries to remind the jealous cowboy a very important lesson that he taught her and the other toys but will Woody remember the lesson or retract it?
