A story that takes place on twitter between an Emo king and queen

Twenty three years after the solar flare, David has lived his life underground from the day he was born. The society he lives in gets ruled by the Raven, a tyran who uses the citizens of Fallout City as objects for whatever pleases him. Trying to protect his mother and sister from the hard life they are living, David gets caught while trying to steal medicine and is given the choice to work for the Raven, or else die. While his work as a scarecrow brings him far past his own boundaries, things the Raven makes his citizens believe are not what they seem. The strangers David brings home one day are the biggest proof of this, and they need to be kept a secret in order for David and his loved ones to survive... Despite how often it occurred, constantly moving from house wasn't one of my hobbies. People change, bit places don't, not really, and that was one of the only things keeping my sanity intact enough to function. It was reassuring, having familiar surroundings, familiar faces. Without that I felt somehow disconnected from other people, lost even. I couldn't allow myself to get lost in thought either, at the moment. Being a quiet guy, it left me plenty of time to get lost in thought. In fact, I hadn't uttered a word since my father left. That was years ago now, but not having a father figure to look up to hit me hard. Eventually the shock wore off, but I was so used to holding my tongue that I decided I would be better off that way. My mother would occasionally take the time to worry about me, once even going through the struggle of taking me to a therapist in hopes of making me speak again. All either of us got from that was a heavy blow to our self-esteem, and even more bills to pay. Selectively mute was my "diagnosis" and my mother stuck to those words. She would often explain it wearily to my apathetic teachers during conferences and such.

Here at Radcliffe High, everyone wants to prove themselves. Whether it's making someone look smaller then you or meeting them outside to settle it in a fight, but now with the the outbreak of gangs running the streets especially with a gang called The Scarecrows, gangs become the new way to show true toughness. The two had become friends a few years ago but were separated. Only now did they meet up once again, their bond stronger than ever. It's been a few months since Carter, Skyla's Ex and abusive, boyfriend was gone. But now, there was a new kid in town. Benn. Mindy didn't exactly like him that much. But Sky sure did. Not even a few months later, Benn and Skyla were a couple. Mindy didn't enjoy it that much. She was glad Sky was happy, but it's like all her time was spent with him.
