Why was he alone? A Melkor/Mairon oneshot after the defeat of Melkor. (Cover art is mine)

Oneshots referring to J.R.R. Tolkien's Silmarillion and time around that (Like different wars, the first age or the time before). Some gay ships, but nothing too 'hard'. There are 'famous' (canon) characters like Glorfindel or Sauron, but also OCs. There's no really plot in there, just the things that get into my mind. Main themes are love without happy ending, mostly characters die or fall into psychological abyss. Don't read when you can't handle. Please. Canon characters belong to Tolkien, OCs are mine. This is an Angbang/Silmarillion fanfic written by me and the incredible @SweetieDoggie. In which an irritable Melkor, a disaster-prone Mairon and an unfortunate Maedhros all end up in the same fortress, so naturally chaos ensues.

To spy, acquire information and to impress his master, Mairon decides to pass the road of Helcaraxë all by himself... Melkor soon realizes, that he shouldn't have let his beloved leave, but has another way to look after him... Inspired by the song "Flamme Im Wind" by Lacrimosa.

modern silmarillion au || enter tirion. a gleaming city of perfect houses, the living dream. maedhros, the son of a wealthy jeweller, is in university and the worst that could happen is him failing classic literature. for him, his world is home and nearby, nowhere like the stories that seem so far away about melkor and his growing empire. but no place is perfect, not even home.
