When those dirty boots and pearl snaps walk out the door every morning, she just prays they come back home safely. Sweaty, mud-caked, and glittering in metal shavings, but safe. She did not plan to be part of this lifestyle, but no one really controls with whom they fall in love. So, she makes his coffee, keeps his home, and waits for him to return every evening. Because although this life is difficult, and the distance can be lonely, she knows that she will never find another love so fierce and steady. Her heart is out on the line every day, but she's his girl, and he's her pipeliner.
