Angel grew up in a foster home. She switched them every year. But one year she moves in with a woman named Amy. The week after she moved in with her, there was a New Years Day concert and a Motionless In White concert in the city. Amy let her go, Angel meets her idols, Ash and Chris. Amanda Ferris was one hell of a self confident smart-mouth back in Highschool and couldn't imagine that it was possible for her to face an Expulsion from college. But here she is, back in Hawkins working at her father's gas station just around the corner. Selling massive cups of Slushy to young kids and handing the toilet key to Truckers. It was a path she didn't plan to end up on, after Highschool ended with exceptional grades, but her nightmares stole the dream of becoming a professional journalist. Every night she had the same horrifying dream of a gruesome creature pulling innocent children from her neighbourhood into a dark space where it hovered above them restlessly. Even worse was the fact that few weeks after her arrival, the military showed up to put a lockdown on their mousy little town in Indiana. Everybody knew that something very strange was going on in Hawkins, but that she'd be one of the few people to know about it, wasn't on her bucket list for the year of 1987. Sometimes it's better to stay clueless about the monsters that lay in the shadows.

He comes home late and he leaves early. He's always tired and never has a break. When he is able to work from home, it's a blessing because really, the road is his life. When those dirty boots and pearl snaps walk out the door every morning, she just prays they come back home safely. Sweaty, mud-caked, and glittering in metal shavings, but safe. Because although this life is difficult, and the distance can be lonely, she knows that she will never find another love so fierce and steady.
