Charlie is a 16 year old girl with a lot of home issues. Her dads disapeared again, her mother kicked her out and she has no where to live but a trashed van made into a home. Her best friend, Lexi, looks out for her as much as she can, but its not enough to dig Charlie out of her pit of despair. One day, Charlie enters her math class to find a new student has now occupied the once empty desk beside her own. Caelum is an odd, mischievous boy who is just as frightening as he is attractive. As Charlie gets tamgled up in danger after danger she must make the choice: is he here to help? Or is he here to hurt? One more question remains... Is Caelum even human?
