Evangeline Summers' father is playing a dangerous game, and her family could be caught in the cross hairs. She receives a phone call detailing how to keep her family alive, and she becomes the pawn of the mysterious Gryphon. Doubts arise in her mind about which is truly the evil one. Gryphon? Or her own father? Among all of this, she meets Alex Lock, who wants nothing other than to protect her. But how do you protect someone with a target on her back, especially when she holds the key to your heart?
