My old friend used to say, 'Stories Never Ends.' I never understood what he meant by it . I've read hundreds of stories, hundreds of novels and movies, and they all have the word 'The end' plastered on them. Signaling the story ends.
And I still couldn't find what he meant by that.
So, I did the only thing possible and wrote my own stories, wrote my own people.
I got addicted, so I continued writing.
And after a certain point I understood what my old friend was trying to convey.
And I strongly disagree.
The stories don't end because there is more to say. More to explain. More to discover or more to earn.
I believe a good story is one, which knows when to end and how to end.
Because without a perfect end no story is perfect.
Your beginning can be muddy but your ending could not. Because once you are able to reach that end point, the story is not just yours anymore. It now belongs to its readers more than you yourself. Why? Because they are the ones that forced you to finish it . They loved it, that's why you want to finish it. Without it, without them it was already in the cold bag and you would be working on another one.
The readers have their expectations on the writer and as a writer it's our duty to not disappoint them.
I believe a good story always comes from a good ending. And a great story comes from a greater ending.
So, I began writing this, weaving the net of words trying to hook some big fishes to eat and maybe to appreciate.
I'm about to begin my own journey in a universe filled with endless possibilities of endless dreams of the endless being.
I'm about to begin a story whose entire goal is to reach the end.
