10 years ago a tragedy struck the Germanic kingdom, the royal family; King Alaric of the Löwe kingdom and his twin daughters Princesses Rose Red and Snow White were butchered by the blade of the Queens own Huntsman.Well that's what everyone was told, anyways. Now, deep in the forbidden forest a gorgeous young woman with eyes as green as the flourished forest and hair as red as fire resided there along with her befriended talking bear. Although, when she overhears news of a rebellious group planning to overthrow the queen she begins to experience a whirlwind of mystery and events. As she grows and she fights for her family and for her kingdom's rights and safety she will learn things of herself and her family that threaten to tear her down till she is mere bone. On this journey she will turn from a child to a woman and become the queen she was always bred to be. ----------------------------------------------- This is a novel I began writing last year for NaNoWriMo. I just wanted some opinions and comments on it so far, in particular the 2 Prologues that have been posted. I love both Prologues so much but obviously I cannot put both into my story so opinions on the one you like better is greatly appreciated :)

This is historical- fiction from England in the Anglo-Saxon- Norman era (1066), with minor tweaks to actually make a story, about a Anglo-Saxon girl, 14 years old who's family has been lost to the war, she had pretended to be a man in order to join the army.

A great christian kingdom ruled by a few men. A young woman fighting hard to make her place among those few men, to rule the great Mercia from behind the closed doors. Her only weapon-Words. An impetuous old king who will listen to whoever talked to him last. And a Prince, a warrior stuck in the politics of the court, trying to sort out the mess this kingdom has become-Oligarchy under the guise of Sovereignty. Will the men let a woman join their elite governing body? Will the woman manage to survive, even if she get in? Will the Prince sort it out or will he get sucked deeper and deeper into the chaos? (Oh and of course there's the whole love-hate drama y'all like) Set in the backdrop of Viking invasions and Northumbria's rise to power, conflict is in the air. And what better time to snatch and consolidate power than the season of War!

Early 8th century, Northumbria in the reign of king Ósred. Thegn Gléaumód arrives with his servant Wictmær to the house of an old friend, only to find his host in the midst of a discord. The situation becomes even more complicated when Abbot Hildiuald, who is involved in the conflict, makes his sudden appearance in the halls. Written in an "archaic" style, the meanings of Old English words are put in brackets.

Since the exams are over, I needed an excuse to keep writing. Inspired by the tale of Hereward the Wake and his rebellion in Norman England around 1070, I hope you enjoy this creative writing based on my favourite historical figure.

Remember that project I mentioned back in December? This is it. An ambitious exercise in...linguistics? I'm not a linguist, but I do have a semester of that and British Lit under my belt! So I made this. What fantasy world is complete without languages? (Or at least language headcanons?) #1 in IPA! (As of 3/9/23) As always, I do not own The Beatles, their songs, their covers, or the solo work of its members nor do I think of them as sinisterly as they are depicted here.
