Being born quirkless, he knows that he will get targeted if they find out he's an omega furthermore that he has no quirk to defend himself, that is why he pretended to be a beta. Katsuki Bakugou is a dominant alpha with a strong and powerful quirk, seeing Midoriya as a weak beta that wants to be a hero. Bakugou wants Midoriya or what he calls deku to give up on being a hero by bullying him but Bakugou really didn't hate Midoriya, he just wants Midoriya to give up and find an alternative dream where he can live peacefully without worrying himself getting hurt by a villains. One day after applying into schools, Bakugou is surprise that Midoriya really give up but didn't know that Midoriya and All might have met, All might also said that Midoriya should give up being a hero and should be a cop or other dream where he can save people without risking himself.
