They use mini-grapplers to hide on the ceiling and observe Chief Onca studying a massive case board. Joseph notices a torn rubber glove on the exhausted chief that matches a scrap of fabric they found in the driveway. Realizing Chief Onca's obsessive focus is legitimate police work and that he is entirely innocent, the partners escape into the night with a deeper mystery on their hands.
