Chapter 1: Kavya's Breakthrough Dr. Kavya Mehta adjusted her googles as she fiddled with the strange contraption in her garage. The device hummed and sparked, a clear sign that her latest invention was doing something. "Alright, Buddy, Cleo", she called out to her golden retriever and cat. "Let's see if this thing works." Buddy tilted his head, his wagging tail thumping against the floor. Cleo leaped onto the workbench, her green eyes narrowing. Kavya flipped the switch, and the device buzzed. Suddenly, Buddy let out a dramatic gasp. "Oh, finally! I thought I'd be stuck in the land of the silent forever!" he exclaimed, his voice deep and theatrical. Kavya's jaw dropped. "Buddy? Is that you?" "Of course, it's me!" he barked. "Do you know how many times I've tried to tell you that my kibble is too dry?" Before Kavya could respond, Cleo let out a loud yawn. "Great. Now I can voice my opinions on your atrocious wardrobe choices", she purred, her tone dripping with sarcasm. Chapter 2: The Neighbourhood Finds Out Word spread quickly. Kavya's neighbour, Mrs. Sharma, rushed over with her pug, Muffin. "Please, Kavya, let Muffin try it!" she begged. Muffin, once connected to the device, let out a snort. "Finally! Someone needs to tell you that your perfume is too much", he said, wrinkling his snout. By evening, the entire neighbourhood was filled with talking pets. Gossiping pigeons cackled on the rooftops; while a wise old parrot began narrating traffic updates. Chapter 3: A Dramatic Council Meeting Buddy paced in front of a group of animals gathered in the park. "We demand better treatment!" he barked. "No more costumes! No more tasteless treats!" Cleo rolled her eyes. "And no more humans thinking they know better. They don't even clean our litter boxes on time." The pets cheered, but chaos broke out when the squirrels arrived late.
