Revelation 21:6. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life, freely.
Chito and Yuuri, two girls alone at the edge of the world. A sisterhood bound by hunger and silence, their love the last ember in a city of stone. They believed themselves the last of mankind wandering the hollowed ruins, driving their kettenkrad through deserts of ash, across dead oceans of snow, beneath towers that stretched into a heaven long abandoned. All they had was each other. All they had was their love.
But the road delivered them into the path of another. A boy near their age, lean and haunted, carrying a burden older than himself. In his hand a key. In his mouth the promise of waters that could turn wasteland into garden once more. To him was given the task of redeeming a race that had squandered its birthright twice. And in his eyes, they found not only the promise of salvation, but the weight of one who had been hunted across the earth.
For there was another on their trail. Tall, pale, unyielding. A judge in flesh who never slept, who never died. He followed the three across the broken world, intent on ending the dream of Eden before it could rise again. Yet in the wasteland where only silence endured, something fragile took root. Not only the hope of waters, but of love.
A boy and two girls, the last lights of mankind. All they had. Was each other.
