Rebekah Monroe and Petra Auden are two girls who have never met, but are inevitably stuck in the same small-minded town of Beauniche, a small dot on the map of the great state of Tennessee, which most people swat at because they think it's a bug. They both yearn for different lives, but the narrow-mindedness of their surroundings keeps them stuck in a town that refuses to move forward.
