She comes from a rough past, she was an orphan for the first 5 years of her life until Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert adopted her. The next 12 years were blissful, no matter how hard things got, Anne had her wonderful friends and family by her side. Anne is no little girl now, either. She is a beautiful young 17 year old girl, living her best life in high school, until she takes interest in her all time rival, Gilbert Blythe. Gilbert is a charming young boy, he's an orphan as well, orphaned at the age of 14 when his dad died. His next 3 years were sorrowful, but bearable because of the one and only, Anne Cuthbert. She's hated him since the day he called her carrots and she slapped him with a notebook.
