"What's your reason?" I asked, gulping down the lump forming in my throat at meeting his dark brown gaze, mentally cursing those eyes that were the bane of my existence. He didn't blink, didn't move, staying just as still to keep me there, so I had to swallow it all down, taking a deep breath to fight back against his spell to stay in control and not become another pawn in his game. Ann was supposed to take care of him, since their mom died, and their dad didn't give a damn. She was working, so he could get operated on, but forgot to look at herself in the first place. She wouldn't rest. Not when knowing that her brother could die at any moment. He was the only person she truly loved. 𝐒𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐮 𝐍𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐢 was a sadistic man who loved seeing people suffer. He was a criminal undercover, but to people, he looked like a professional game engineer. A lot of women would throw themselves at him, and of course, he took advantage of them. But it was their choice. He only got along with gamblers, sluts, and other criminals. But not with the ones who are supposed to get rid of him. Not with sheriffs. Not with the police. And worse.
