Remember, You Must Die

Mark Fischbach meets Ethan Nestor when he dies in a sudden car crash, only to wake up in a dark void. A year before this, he was told that he had a year left to live by someone who had also previously died and gone into a similar void. Mark is tasked with guiding Ethan, the only person from the outside world that can see and communicate with him, into accepting that he only has a year left to live. Ethan Nestor, a 17 year old kid who struggles with depression and anxiety along with ADHD, lives a dull life absent of any purpose or motivation. He's convinced himself his life is one without meaning, and that he was born just to be buried. So one day, when he decides to end it all, he is frankly surprised by the sudden apparition of his dead idol, Mark Fischbach, who tells him he has a whole year left to live. Ethan must work with himself to find a meaning to life, and on the way he teaches Mark a thing or two about living as well. Both people are forced to find the perfect balance of life before it's too late, and then pass it on to the rest of the world. TW: Suicide, Bullying, Death, Depression. Ethan is found trapped between leaving Dark or his family when it comes to a house fire. His house went down in flames and he was forced out towards the woods to soon pass out from the smoke and flames. But once he awakes, he finds himself in a tight situation when he meets Dark.

This is based off of blank ERROR's Unus Annus animatics on YouTube! Please go check them out! Unus Annus: One Year. Unus and Annus get one year every one thousand years to visit the world and watch humanity through the eyes of their hosts. Annus doesn't want to leave after only one year and hatches a plan to stay longer. Ethan needs to help Mark and save him from this plan. Can he do it before the timer runs out?

Ethan Nestor works in a flower shop across the street from Emerald Tattoo and Peircing shop. Little did he know, Mark from across the street hat a bit of a thing for him. Will he find out? Or will this remain a secret? Ok I'm really bad at writing descriptions shshshshsjsh I'm in orbit- Also btw there will be smut. I'll put a warning at the beginning of the chapter if it contains any smut.

To most, the sword would be the obvious choice for offense and others believe the pen to be mightier. But Ethan here whipped out his long and erect Nintendo Switch out of his pocket, as to ask Mark a question. Eh, less of a question more of an invitation really. But before this story that totally happened can truly bless your eyes and trust me, dude my uncle works at Microsoft, there are some things that need to be prefaced. The setting of this story takes place on Mark's couch, they're at his house. The people of Mark & Ethan here in this work of writing are characterizations of themselves, they are characters but that's not to say these events couldn't have happened. The final thing I want to say is that the phrase "Ethan inserted his weapon of choice." is the cause for all of this, blame that one sentence for this creation. Ethan glared at the package of chips halfheartedly, desperately trying to keep his hands from reaching out and tearing the bag open as though his life depended on not eating the cheesy snack. He wanted them (god did he want them), but he knew he couldn't live with the repercussions. It was mildly concerning, a small part of him thought, considering he had never thought about the "repercussions " of food before. - - - - - Ethan's attitude towards his body lately has been pretty worrisome, so I decided to write a fic where that was taken to the extreme.
