Galatic Reconstruction occoured just after the War. The PMC's owned by the Axis surrendered en mass, but not the Dark Knights. They moved outside of the Spira Galaxy, and spread out amongst a few Neighboring Galaxies, in which ordered action. The United Planets instead decided to keep things subtle, by allowing Intergalactic Colonization of the Local Group they're situated in. by Modern standards, it only takes 50 Million years to colonize a single Galaxy fully.

The Galaxy was in the latter stages of the War, as Axis defeat was now all but sealed... just over 7 years after the initial beggining, and the Axis Forces dwindled to 18% their original size, while the Allied Forces reached 500% their original sizes on average. Cody continued to train with the arts of the Caliphate while doing his missions as normal. Kate would be too old to do anything she wanted to do, and was getting close to expiring herself.
