With the Zone, 2015, a region goes by Yanov Station, a neutral hub from Call of Pripyat. After a massive emission, Yanov becomes a strategic stronghold due to its stable anomaly field yielding valuable artifacts. Duty and Freedom are locked in a cold war, while Bandits and Monolith fanatics stir chaos. Our story revolves around a lone stalker called Alexei "Shade" Volkov-with a murky past and a personal stake in Yanov's fate. He was hired by a mysterious fixer, Irina, to sneak into Yanov for a shadowy client to retrieve a super rare artifact called "Ashen Tear," which was said to boost the endurance of the user to a uniquely high level. However, his intention was not about the payment or any gains at all. This mission's connection to his childhood friend Sparrow's enigmatic disappearance prompted him to accept it. No one told him that night, but it would alter the course of his life... irrevocably.
