Sand and sweat mingled, catching in the sunlight, turning their movements into a deadly dance of heat and fury. "Do not speak of redemption," the first spat, voice low and unforgiving, "not here, not to me. Lies are poison, and I will not drink from your hands again." The second staggered, catching the wind, trying to meet the glare that offered neither mercy nor doubt, but only the unflinching demand of honor. And above the chaos of dust and shifting light, the desert itself seemed to watch, indifferent and eternal, waiting for the final choice, the final strike, and the truth carved in the sand like a warning to any who might follow.

Kar'iya's a girl born in the Metkayina clan she grew up with anoung and she used to like him when they were little but got over it but as the newcomers arrive and kar'iya starts to talk with the new silly boy neteyam a bit more which brings up a feeling anoung has never felt for anyone. okay this is my first proper story so please if you have any tips, I would be so happy to hear them <3
