It all started in fifth grade when Mrs. Jensen put us into groups and made us write a list of ten things we wanted to accomplish before we died. Some kids wrote about becoming successful doctors, lawyers or athletes. But we wrote about the fun things to look forward to in life, like travelling across the country with our friends, going parachuting and .
In fifth grade there were six of us who wrote that list. Six passionate kids with dreams. Now, seven years later, as high school graduates one of us is dying of a cancerous brain tumor. Her final wish being for a reunion in which her past friends accomplish the things on the list they had created in fifth grade.
And it's for that sole reason that I, Hope Allison Freeman, a nerdy unsocial high school graduate am stuck in an old beat up campervan along with a Goth girl, a quiet boy, a tomboy and a cookie cutter jock, travelling across the country to finish our master list before the beginning of college.
Wish me luck.
