Chase and I (Ben) are both here to answer your questions! Just about any random question is welcome! And if you come from my previous book *Pups Save the World* and have questions about American society, the economy, general political philosophy, religion, or even the meaning of life, feel free to ask away! Both Chase and I are at your service! However, as of Tuesday, March 3, 2026, while we are open to big ideas and principles, this Q&A will not cover detailed discussion of ongoing geopolitical conflicts or real-time international crises. Note: This book is a spinoff from my previous book *Pups Save the World: A Satirical PAW Patrol Fanfiction* (https://www.wattpad.com/story/402662031). Although it is highly recommended to check that book out, it is not mandatory for asking Chase and me any questions. Additionally, the idea for this book is not originally mine; it was inspired by a Q&A with Skye written by @dearie-maissa (formerly @Amazing_Skye, her account has unfortunately been deleted 😭).

13 year old Emory Richards is adopted and is seeking into answers as to who were her biological parents and find out why they had given her up for adoption. But what she doesn't realize is her parents are famous pop star singers.

In this second chapter, the story of Lyra and Vandelia moves from the private wound of memory into the watchful body of the city. What began as childhood hunger, severance, shame, and confession now returns in stranger forms: masks worn too long, windows that seem to observe, stairwells that echo a step too late, signs appearing where none had been, and mirrors that no longer feel wholly faithful. The album follows Lyra as she begins to question the boundary between inward fear and outward threat. At first, the disturbance appears psychological: a crisis of identity, a fear of being seen, and the slow collapse of the mask she once mistook for the self. Yet the city answers her dread with troubling signs. A mark appears upon a door. A blank letter lies where none should be. A window burns on the seventh floor. Footsteps sound in empty stairwells. A figure stands where no shadow should fall.Throughout the album, the city becomes a vast architecture of suspicion. Its panelled towers, corridors, mirrors, bridges, factories, lamps, and rain-lit windows seem to form a system of silent observation. Yet the songs refuse simple certainty. Is Lyra being watched by some hidden presence, or has her own divided conscience taught the world to wear the face of a watcher? Are the signs born from without, from within, or from the dangerous meeting of both? The return of Vandelia changes the course of the descent. Whether she first appears as memory, dream, conscience, or living companion, her presence breaks the tyranny of solitary fear. When two stand together, the signs do not vanish, but they become less absolute. Shared perception weakens suspicion. Confession loosens the inward knot. The city may still harbour things unnamed, yet its darkness no longer claims the same dominion over a soul that does not stand alone.

In this first chapter, Lyra and Vandelia are introduced as two old friends whose bond was born in hunger, cold, and childhood sorrow. Raised beneath a grey and indifferent sky, among silent mothers, drunken fathers, narrow streets, and watchful windows, they find in one another the warmth that the world refuses to give. Their earliest covenant is made not in comfort, but in want: a promise shaped by pale dawn, shared bread, fragile laughter, and the desperate belief that no darkness shall ever tear their hands apart. Yet the album follows how such vows begin to fracture. What first appears as tenderness slowly gives way to distance, pride, silence, guilt, and the fear of being truly seen. Lyra and Vandelia do not lose each other through a single betrayal, nor through violence, nor through hatred, but through the quiet widening of an unnamed wound. Letters remain unfinished, words go unspoken, and the city around them becomes a cold witness to their severance. As the songs descend, both women seek refuge in false consolations: taverns, labour, strangers, anger, faith, and denial. Wine promises sleep but leaves only emptiness. Work offers purpose but cannot bury conscience. Religion raises its towers above them, yet gives no warmth, no answer, and no mercy strong enough to reach the wounded child within. The city stands everywhere around them, not merely as a place, but as a school of silence, shame, and spiritual exhaustion. By the end of the album, the first violence of grief has faded into something colder and more honest. Lyra and Vandelia no longer speak only as wounded souls blaming one another, but as two flawed human beings who begin to understand their own part in the breach. No lost youth is restored, no covenant is remade, and no divine sign descends to heal them. Yet beneath the fading star, they confess enough truth to see each other clearly at last.
