The Detective Club, previously the go-home club, was just established, and somebody already gets murdered. No, that's not the only thing that happens here. May or may not include a twist villain and an overarching plot consisting of middle schoolers who want to end the world and stupidly ridiculous cults that have nothing to do with the title. crossposted from ao3!

(Land of the Lustrous in English) In a world that is mostly populated by living human-like Gems, the world seems to hold a rather interesting air. Long ago, the world had been destroyed by six different meteors, forming the Land into what it is known as now. All of those gems have a different role in this Land, from fighting the mysterious Lunarians that hail from the moon and wish to harvest the gems as jewelry to documenting all of the organisms that dwell in the Land. So! What are you in this world, huh?

This takes place where the last chapter of the manga leaves off, so it is past vol. 9. Spoiler warnings now if you are not caught up. This isn't really going to be very long, but I feel like I should write this nonetheless. Last night I dreamt they were able to bring back Antarcticite, so this will be about that. Also, there are minor flaws that don't quite correlate with the story exactly, but none too severe that it doesn't make sense.

Antarc, a bartender that is often quiet, cold, and easily comparable to a soldier, unexpectedly meets Phos, a college student, having difficulty with his work and studies. Antarc thinks nothing of it, quickly shrugging it off and pushing it away until he sees Phos slowly coming more and more times, trying to drink his problems away it seemed. Antarc can't help but feel a bit of pity for the student and actually offers to help him. He silently prays that this won't end in a train wreck.
