i just love them sm. i've been actually obsessed, so i decided to change this from a singular oneshot, to a collection of them as I get back into writing ! (cross-posting from Archive of Our Own, don't judge me lmao)

This short story is inspired by what I saw lately on instagram and other social media related to Good Omens' season 3 and its BTS, particularly, my creative flair was stimulated by the page @tennantism on instagram (love that page with both my body and soul I swear-) (also posted on ao3!!) In this one shot, Crowley's still dealing with the sense of emptiness that seems to be haunting him ever since Aziraphale left him for Heaven. While he tries to handle his contrasting feelings, something unexpected happens. Someone, a familiar face enters the bookshop, and meets his gaze. And perhaps, this time a nightingale might be singing in Berkley Square.

Armageddon has just passed - or narrowly been avoided - according to the 'Ineffable Plan' (a plan nobody really understands). A somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon, now free of their spiritual duties, are facing the world alone. But when a girl, a prophetic manuscript and the Nephilim (a biblical race of demi-gods) turn up at a certain bookshop, Aziraphale and Crowley believe that they will end up breaking Heaven and Hell, or worse... ...confessing their love.

"I'm evil incarnate, though I'm not even that. Cast out of Heaven because I'm a lousy angel. Hell doesn't want me because I'm not even good at being bad. I'm just NOTHING incarnate." . . AKA a Crowley study.

When 14 year old Amen walked into a quaint little bookshop in Soho London before work they did not expect what was about to happen. In the next few hours they would become a mix of an angel and a demon and become immortal. Aziraphale and Crowley didn't know they would become so attached to this random kid but when they realized it they knew they were in for a wild adventure. Ineffable husbands later in the story.

But what's a story without pain?

A new angel is sent to monitor the humans and report back to Heaven as a replacement for Aziraphale. Despite pretending so well, and doing such a good job of fitting in with the humans for quite awhile now, she slips up, and reveals her identity when she senses such an immense amount of love in someone that she just can't believe it. "You are so loved!" She shouts at the person she feels this from, before running away stuck in her jealousy. This left Aziraphale to ponder why there was another angel on Earth, but he figures it out quickly. What he does have trouble with, is figuring out who in his 6,000 years could have loved him so much that it throws off an angel in disguise. Which is Crowley's cue to panic. Warning: they're both dumbasses. Also, lots of fluff.
