The story revolves around two different trio's in an anthropologic world, both looking for the same person. The leader of one trio is a really tempered, teenaged hedgehog. The other is a sadist adult. Both trio's have different elemental powers plus one other yet to be met later in the story.

He was reigning and she, she was just, nobody. They met, she feared him. He screamed. She hid away, he wouldn't even care. And then, he took her. He took her to raid, to war, to sack and loot. He took her heart, to love after all she has been through. And at some point, the ripple was human again.

It is the beginning of the apocalypse and Les is there at ground zero. After returning home for the funeral of a friend, his world in turned upside down by events that try his every sense of reason. The dead are returning from the grave, but not in the way that the world fears. They are completely sentient, but have no awareness of their time being dead. To them, they see each other as in their prime with a gentle mist about their forms, but, to the living, they appear as decomposed as they were just before being awakened. With the panic of the inexplicable event, the world is thrown into chaos. Religious extremist groups form out of a fear to combat the perceived invasion of the undead and Les finds himself as a target after befriending the undead. Running from one particular group, which calls itself "Christ's Protectors," Les finds himself running further and further from them while fortuitously stumbling upon more and more ancient clues to what is happening. Timeless loves are discovered, epic battles ensue, and the barriers between this world and the next are blurred as Les and his friends meet ancient gods and explore forgotten realms. Comedy, romance, drama, action, and philosophical quandaries give From Night On: Awakenings a range to be enjoyed by everyone.

This is a work of what I call "speculative mythology." It's the shared, continuous stories of a highly eusocial people, and the many names that have emerged across the telling and retelling, translating and re-translating of these tales across many generations. It's bug lore, ant mythology, spec myth, a love letter to a people who never existed. There's Skith, who climbed. Akkis, who ran. The two-tandem of Sett and Tattik. Rika, who went downward, and who dueled in the Serpent-Tunnel. The Small Colony, the Four Tree Colony, the tumult of Our Mound where no Queen lives, and the great labors of the Gods Inside.

Christine and Micheal Vincent are best friends they have gone through a lot for having parents that work in the FBI. High School is easy for both of them Christine being the captain of the soccer team and Micheal is the Captain of the football team. They are always there to protect each other and then what happens when they suddenly can't? All characters go to the Kathy Reich and probably the show helped too. (I've never read the books) also images are from Pinterest and google.

Lyla Turner and her best friend Cameron are polar opposites. Unlike him, she's invisible and doesn't stand out in any way which she very much prefers. However, when she goes to college, she is noticed for the first time in her life, but it's not necessarily wanted attention. She is noticed by a mysterious, infamous delinquent by the name Ash 'Astaroth' Chatwood. However, he's not a typical playboy that falls in love with an innocent girl. What he desired from her was so much more dangerous than just a kiss on the lips.
